Dave Meehan

Dave picked up his first set of decks back in ‘95. His love for Progressive House dictated a musical journey that would span a near quarter of a century. Heavily influenced by all elements of melodic, electronic music – he gained inspiration from the likes of Nick Warren, Sasha, John Digweed & Dave Seaman.
Concentrating on being original, DAVE creates soundscapes when it comes to set building. His mixes focus on the literal meaning of the word ‘progressive’, he believes a well-constructed set should gain momentum and energy as a set reaches its climax.

Dave made his name playing at local hot spots & parties around the Munster region such as SOUNDLOUNGE, COOLIOS, MCGREGORS, TRINITY ROOMS, VOODOO ROOMS to name a few.
After gaining recognition for his efforts – he secured a weekly KISS FM show called ‘Midweek Sessions’ every Wednesday. In 2001 DAVE travelled too Australia to embark on a year DJing with the Irish Invasion Crew. Playing at Clubs & venues from Sydney to Melbourne. On returning home he secured a residency at GAGE nightclub in his hometown of Limerick City.
Since then, Dave has played at many venues up and down the country. He has been featured on multiple Guest Mix slots on radio, all the while staying through to form, bringing melodic house & techno to the masses. Every set meticulous, every tune carefully selected to bring optimum effect.
Dave is one of the founding members of AUDIOTONIK.
