Andy Innes

Andy Innes from Inverness began playing mid/late 90's with vinyl on 1210’s with a love of mainly upbeat progressive house & trance, mostly playing private house parties and producing mixtapes for friends. His passion for this style of music solidified after a couple of holiday trips to Ibiza with friends in '96 & '97 during the 'classic years' period, hearing how the music came to life on large sound systems. Being able to go to clubs like ‘Manumission’ at Privilege, Es Paradis, and being in the crowd at ‘Cream’ in Amnesia when it was being broadcast live on Radio 1’s Essential Mix were real musical highlights of these holidays.
After a break with family commitments he returned to playing a few years back, this time with CDJ's and a passion for deeper progressive house & uplifting trance, but also incorporating elements of minimal tech house, deep house and lighter melodic side of techno. He went on to play numerous events locally in the Highlands of Scotland including the ‘Shenanigan’ dance music festival, and has warmed up for personal favourites Quivver & Ian Dillon for Ed Fennell & Mark Thomson’s ‘Northern Progression’ night in Aberdeen. He first appeared on Saturo Sounds with some guest mixes during 2019 for Shaun’s ‘Q+Q’, Ed’s ‘ProgressEd’ and Mark’s ‘Northern Progression’ shows.
Andy is also a resident DJ with the Inverness based Trance night ‘Lets Trance’ playing venues throughout the Highlands. He and fellow Lets Trance residents have recently welcomed long time trance favourite Lost Witness as a special headline guest and supported former Radio 1 DJ Dave Pearce.
