Stefan Medici from New York U.S. enjoys mixing different styles and sounds of Electronic Music; Trance, House, Progressive, Techno, Organic, and all in between. His styles vary from the deep underground sounds to big club energy vibes and so has decided to name his shows Medici Sounds.
In early 2019 Stefan picked up his 1st DJ controller with no intention other than to have some fun exploring his interests in Electronic music. He is self taught and has nurtured his skills at mixing his own solo shows escalating his interest into three online Radio residencies where he displays his wide varying styles creating rabbit hole like journeys in music.
Stefan’s musical influences which has shaped his unique sound began with Rock, Hip-Hop, and Reggae. The mid 90’s is the time where Stefan began listening to Electronic music and in particular enjoying the works of the legend that is Paul Oakenfold. Holding Paul’s albums and live sets in high regard, Stefan always finds his work inspiring till this day. He also collected the Global Underground Albums which showcased household names such as Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Danny Howells, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman etc… the list goes on. These artists of varying styles shaped Stefan’s eclectic taste in music and style of mixing. AfterHours FM – In April 2021 Stefan began his residency show – Medici Sounds – on the worlds biggest Trance Radio station where he displays the varying styles of Trance. This forum is where Stefan picks up the pace with faster BPM’s up to and including Psy Trance. (Air time 2nd Sunday’s 6pm CET)
Saturo Sounds – July 2022 Stefan joined the Underground Radio station with his – Medici Sounds – Saturo Sesh shows playing the deeper sounds of House, Trance and Techno. After completing a year of successful shows at Saturo, Stefan will begin a new Medici Sounds series named Continuum. Starting in August 2023 he will begin each show with the track last played on his previous show continuing the vibe of the series. (Air time 1st Thursday’s 10pm UK)
Organic Deep House Radio – Most recently (May 2023) Stefan has joined ODHR with his – Medici Sounds – Melodic Moments show. Here he plays Melodic, Deep and Organic House creating beautiful Electronic music journeys. (Air time variable monthly)
